Dr Parul Banker
Enough has been spoken about women power, women's liberalization. Not in any such
race to prove a point, this is one woman, always occupied in a diverse array of
activities that leaves no space or time to even think of such race. Isn't it said
that people who make history, don't have the time to write it? Here is one such
woman,
|
|
DR PARUL BANKER (MBBS) (MASTER OF SURGERY (ENT))
|
|
CONSULTANT ENT SURGEON |
|
MEDICAL DIRECTOR, BANKERS HEART INSTITUTE, Vadodara |
|
MANAGING TRUSTEE, YASH PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST |
|
CEO, BANKERS NURSING INSTITUTE |
|
Coming from a modest background, with no spoons in the mouth, Parul Banker, through
her sheer zeal and energy to be constantly engaged in activities that groom her
horizon and the society at large, has sprung many a miles leaping into that league
of the extra-ordinary, that would pose an ideal, a role model for a middle-class,
small town woman of India.
|
|
Initiating, but not restraining her career as an ENT surgeon, she finished her masters
from the Baroda Medical College, and after valuable experience at prestigious Nair
and Wadia hospitals at Mumbai for two years, she took to Gujarat, her home-town,
back again to make it her Karma-Bhoomi. Gathering all her spirits, foresight and
determination, she became the guiding force behind the success stories of not only
the man, the celebrated cardiologist Dr. Darshan Banker, but also the mammoth organization
Bankers Heart Institute. This became the pioneer institute in the city catering
to a wide variety of state-of-the-art cardiology services of international quality
to the doorstep of the average Gujarati at highly affordable prices. With a further
gush of the humanitarian drive, she founded the Yash Charitable Trust working for
the upliftment of the health-services of the under-privileged in untrodden villages
far and wide; and also initiated the trend of taking health education to the schools
via quizzes, competitions and other academic endeavour. Then a project, now a mission,
to create cardiologists of the highest repute at her own motherland, Gujarat, through
the DNB Cardiology programme as an offering to the society, repaying the debts to
the mother, speaks only of her insight and vision. In continuing with her zest,
she has now ventured to expand the supporting paramedical staff in modern health
care with the Bankers Nursing Institute, which shall train and produce nursing staff
of the highest quality.
|
|
Traveling tireless, working restless, all the time engaged in turning dreams into
missions and then a reality and then seeing new dreams again; and yet keeping a
very low profile, almost unsung, unheard ? is what we associate Dr. Parul Banker
with.
